Business Development Manager (Malaysia & Singapore)

Job Summary

Our client, a company in the education – english proficiency (muet) training, exam services & student recruitment (malaysia–china) industry, is looking for a Business Development Manager (Malaysia & Singapore) based in Megan Avenue II, Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Our client is a fast-growing education provider specialising in English proficiency training and examination services, particularly MUET. As an authorised partner working with government bodies and international institutions, it delivers certified programmes and standardised testing, and supports cross-border education pathways between Malaysia and China. Its services cover student recruitment, training, exam administration and university placement across hubs in Asia, aligned with global standards such as CEFR.
• The company is in an exciting growth stage and is looking for people who want to grow with it for the long term.
• Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute business development strategies to meet growth targets
• Build partnerships with universities, colleges and education institutions
• Recruit and manage student recruitment agents and partners
• Drive student enrolment and programme recruitment
• Develop new opportunities such as summer school programmes and training projects
• Maintain relationships with government agencies and strategic partners
• Lead daily business operations and team performance
• Prepare business reports, forecasts and updates for management
• Travel to Singapore and China occasionally
• Remuneration:
• Attractive basic salary (to be discussed)
• Performance incentives for university partnerships, agents signed, student enrolments and MUET registrations
• Annual bonus of 1–3 months and project profit sharing (subject to company policy)
• EPF, SOCSO, EIS
• Working days: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Location: Megan Avenue II, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education or a related field
• At least 5 years' experience in business development, education management or partnership development
• Student recruitment or education industry experience highly preferred
• Strong networking and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently and drive growth
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English and Mandarin
• Willing to travel to Singapore and China occasionally
