Job Summary

  • With a focus on utility industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, Data Infrastructure and Water as well as other resource-intensive sectors, the Global Advisory group provides a range of holistic strategic, process, financial and technology solutions.

  • Professionals improve organizational effectiveness, and reduce risks and costs by enabling clients to adopt and operationalize new technologies and approaches.

  • We help justify and fund major improvements to utility networks and assets, achieve a clear, systematic approach to managing risks, and work with executive leadership teams to identify and design business-case solutions to transformational initiatives solving energy, water, decarbonization and other finite resource challenges.

Responsibilities

Consultant:

  • Conducts design and technology review for power projects, LNG terminals, green hydrogen/Ammonia, water projects, data centers.

  • Review operations data.

  • Compiles data from design documents, contracts.

  • Data analysis and crunching.

  • Draft inputs to technical due diligence, construction and operation monitoring report.

  • Presenting reports and deliverables in near Client-ready formats.

  • Reviews work of junior team members to make sure it aligns with overall deliverable.

Consulting Capability:

  • Transfers knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others’ knowledge and skill levels.

  • Enhances established working relationships with team members and management from within the client’s organization.

  • Contributes to quality review on own engagement.

  • Ascertains and meets client expectations within scope of engagement role.

  • Develops applicable knowledge bases by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques. Outlines specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value.

  • Challenges client’s current strategy and direction through persuasive argument. Defines competitive advantage and achievable value to the client through use of the strategic change components and metrics. Formulates issue-based hypotheses and develops analytical plan for testing. Contributes to analysis of impact of strategic changes by defining linkages and interdependencies.

  • Anticipates and resolves technical problems with occasional technical assistance from others.

  • Develops, presents, and defends conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-6 years (Senior Analyst) or 6-8 (Consultant) experience in technical due diligence/feasibility studies/bankability studies of any one or more sectors from power, LNG, water projects, data centers and other infrastructure projects; few years of that in a consulting firm with role involving techno-commercial/technical due diligence and lenders technical advisory projects.

  • Fully proficient in Mandarin in both written and verbal communication.

  • Graduation in mechanical or electrical engineering, other disciplines may be considered for the candidate with right experience; Post-graduation is an advantage.

  • Fully comfortable with Microsoft office suite and especially Microsoft excel, exposure to other management tools would be a plus.
