Project Sales (Government Sales)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Project Sales (Government Sales) professional to develop and manage sales opportunities within the government and public-sector market.
The role will focus on identifying government projects and procurement opportunities, managing quotations and tender submissions, developing relationships with government agencies and converting project opportunities into successful sales.
Key Responsibilities
– Identify and develop new business opportunities with government agencies, ministries, statutory bodies, local authorities, government-linked organisations and public institutions.
– Research and monitor relevant government procurement, quotation and tender opportunities.
– Develop and maintain relationships with government procurement personnel, project stakeholders and key decision-makers.
– Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry and requirement gathering through quotation, tender submission, negotiation and project award.
– Prepare quotations, proposals, tender documents and other commercial submissions.
– Understand customers’ requirements and recommend suitable sports equipment, apparel, fitness products and related solutions.
– Coordinate with internal teams to prepare competitive product and project proposals.
– Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders and maintain an updated sales pipeline.
– Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while maintaining company margins.
– Attend client meetings, site visits, presentations and project discussions when required.
– Coordinate with operations, suppliers and logistics teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and delivery of awarded projects.
– Maintain accurate sales records, tender documentation and customer information.
– Identify opportunities for repeat business, additional projects and long-term government accounts.
– Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the growth of the government and project sales division.
Requirements
– Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
– 2–4 years of sales, business development or project sales experience.
– Experience dealing with government agencies or public-sector clients will be strongly preferred.
– Experience with tenders, quotations, government procurement or project-based sales is an advantage.
– Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
– Good commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop suitable solutions.
– Organised and able to manage multiple projects, quotations and deadlines simultaneously.
– Proactive, target-driven and comfortable with business development.
– Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits and project requirements when necessary.
– Candidates with experience in sports equipment, uniforms/apparel, fitness equipment, education, facilities or related project sales will have an added advantage.
REMUNERATION PACKAGES:
Basic Salary: RM3,500 to RM4000
Attractive sales commission / incentive scheme based on performance
Travel allowance provided (details to be confirmed)
