Sr. Inspector for Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) and Mechanical Equipment
Job Summary
-
Identify and initiate complex site inspections, acceptance, and/or rejection of work performed by various disciplines in compliance with applicable Codes and/or specifications.

Monitors construction schedule and costs.

Provide technical guidance to Quality Inspectors or other Quality Specialists.
-
Actively promote implementation of QC policies and standards in the support of projects.
-
May be responsible for oversight of other Field QC staff on assigned project Sites.
Key Responsibilities
-
To provide oversight and ensure ACC installation at site is in accordance with the approved installation instructions, codes and standards. This includes interfacing works between ACC and ST.

To provide oversight of mechanical equipment at site is in accordance with the approved installation instruction, codes and standards including interfacing functions for combined cycle power plant.

Quality inspection on material, work, etc.
-
Witness quality tests.
-
Assist engineers in reviewing method statement, HIRARC, ITP and other relevant construction documentation.

Assist engineer in reviewing inspection & test plan, inspection checklist & documentation, QC report, etc.

To provide necessary technical input/advice/ recommendation on construction issues such as design changes, non-conformance, deviations, sequence of work, subsurface conditions, material change, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Minimum ten (10) years working experience in power plant, and/or Oil & Gas projects.

Minimum three (3) projects with ACC performing the Key Role – preferably with at least one (1) combined cycle power plant project.

Working knowledge of HSSE standards/regulations and site control measures.
-
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
-
Able to communicate in the English with Mandarin languages is advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Minimum of 3 years with a degree, minimum of 5 years without a degree.
Physical Demands:

Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and
uneven areas. -
See and hear naturally or with correction.

Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

Requires repetitive movement.

May require work above 5 feet in height.

Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.

Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.

Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

Work around hazardous equipment.
