International Key Account Manager
Key Responsibilities

Manage, evaluate, and appoint distributors to ensure excellent execution of modern trade accounts and regional coverage.

Develop long-term partnerships with major clients, while identifying new business opportunities.

Monitor sales performance, customer behavior, and product trends to support strategic decision-making.

Coordinate closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure timely execution of key account plans.

Act as the primary, senior-level point of contact for international buyers and global category managers, ensuring seamless cross-functional alignment.

Proactively resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Coach and mentor junior team members to enhance performance and support development.

Develop, implement, and lead the long-term strategic business plans (Joint Business Plans – JBP) for assigned national and international/foreign key accounts.

Prepare and present regular business reviews and progress reports to management and clients.

Distributor Handling Track Record: Proven experience in managing, driving, and governing third-party distributors.

Must understand how to balance distributor sell-in/sell-out and manage distributor operational alignment.

International Account Track Record: Successful experience managing and negotiating with foreign accounts, multinational corporations (MNCs), or global modern trade retail chains.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum 6–8 years of experience in FMCG sales or key account management, with at least 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Proven success managing both international and local chain accounts (e.g. Watsons, 99 Speedmart, Econsave).

Proficient in English (written & verbal) and Mandarin is preferred.

Strong analytical thinking, commercial sense, and structured planning skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
