Part-Time MUET Teacher

Job Summary

Our client, a company in the education – english proficiency (muet) training, exam services & student recruitment (malaysia–china) industry, is looking for a Part-Time MUET Teacher based in Megan Avenue II, Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Our client is a fast-growing education provider specialising in English proficiency training and examination services, particularly MUET. As an authorised partner working with government bodies and international institutions, it delivers certified programmes and standardised testing, and supports cross-border education pathways between Malaysia and China. Its services cover student recruitment, training, exam administration and university placement across hubs in Asia, aligned with global standards such as CEFR.
• The company is in an exciting growth stage and is looking for people who want to grow with it for the long term.
• We are looking for 2–3 part-time instructors to deliver MUET preparation lessons aligned with the official exam structure and standards.
• Responsibilities:
• Teach Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing components
• Deliver lessons using a structured syllabus and exam strategies
• Prepare teaching materials, exercises and mock tests
• Assess students and give constructive feedback
• Take part in training, briefings and academic alignment sessions
• Remuneration:
• RM100 – RM150 per hour (depending on qualifications; MUET certificate holders preferred)
• Interview: shortlisted candidates will present a 10-minute mock lesson on a topic of their choice.
• Location: Megan Avenue II, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, TESL, Education or a related field
• Experience teaching MUET, IELTS or English proficiency courses preferred
• Strong written and spoken English
• Familiar with MUET format and marking criteria (an advantage)
• Engaging teaching style and good classroom management
• Punctual and able to commit to scheduled classes
• Mandarin is an advantage
